Damned nice Attitude, and $45 off the regular price doesn't hurt! I also really like the last couple carved handle Cherokee specials. Something different.

There's something about that horn handle with the R5... damn, I haven't even gotten my first in the mail yet and I already want another one!

Ok someone buy the Rose for me and trade it to me for a movie model and JKM :o ....or keep it for yourself along with a few choice curses

You look at the handle on the Rose? Stand out carving.

Bura is an artist, no doubt about it. He could make a good living just carving statues and selling them I'm sure. Lucky for us he prefers knives. I would have loved to have snagged this, but already have an older plain one and a nice carved one. There is also a little matter of payment. :D

on the carving; it has the liquid look, do you know what I mean?
The carving comes out of the background- it's transparent.

When you can make wood do that you done ....GOOD.

Email sent on R-5. Probably gone by now. This horn handle will look good with my horn R-10. Although this one is only half as good as the R-10 :)

Eric.

Yep. Already gone.

Nice buy. I can't get over the look of it with that horn handle. Hopefully they'll keep on being offered that way. Absolutely stunning.

Norm isn't this one at 20-1/2" long longer than the average Rose?
This one must have a 14"-15" blade!  :D
One I sure wouldn't mind owning and I'm not overly fond of the carved handles for practical purposes but this one is just downright beautiful!!!! :D  Can't say plain beautiful because there is nothing plain about it.

Yvsa, no that is right in there on the average. Both mine are on the short side at 20" even, most are 20.5" and a couple have even been 21".

I think it's the carved handle design which makes it look a bit longer. The last one like this on 7/11 had a very similar handle, but being dark satisal did not have the gold highlights this sisau one has and so the carving was not quite as evident. I still like both the chandan curlique one I snagged on 12/10, and a companion one in Neem which sold on 12/14. Those were the first and only two to date of that style. (Of course I paid $20 more for mine. ;) Just an ability I have.) IMO this one is priced spot on, as it is significantly more work and is only a few dollars more.

After those two curlique models, Bura did 3 smooth ones, including a really pretty Neem one on 1/10 I believe, and then on 2/7 did a transistion one on the way to this style with really ornate carving.

Like you, I used to think the carved handles were impractical, but was amazed at how comfortable they seem to be in real use. The carving gives a great feel to the hand, and yet makes the knife secure. If there is a single drawback to the carving is that it would make refinishing the handle very difficult if you chose to do so.

Darn it! My dream Rose shows up and I have no money.:(
Oh Well, I guess I will go on dreaming a little longer.
If this had come at my Birthday I would have tried to con my GF into getting it for me.;)

Surprized no one has bought that attitude.

I know! Beautiful wood and a perfect handle. People forget these sold for $135-$140 at one time; basically M43 prices and worth it. I have a similar one in neem or I would be all over this, debt or no.

Norm

I love that attitude too. If I hadn't recently purchased one with an antler handle I would get this one. I may anyway...someone please buy the attitude soon.
