Somebody (not me) pounced quick on that Karam WWII.... recognizing it for its beauty & rarity of size, wood.

Gray horn is rare, no? Good luck, g_m.

The walnut sure is gorgeous, too.

Congratulations, George. The Ganga Ram is a good choice. Let us know what you use it for over there! Most people here chop firewood or clear trails with them.

A high percentage of HI customers are repeat customers, so... though you don't have it yet, you may be back!

_________

It's appropriate there were some nice WWII khuks today, as today is the anniversary of the end of WWII.

Thank you for your kind words. I am planning on follow-up purchases too. Due to the time difference (we are 10 hours ahead of California time zone) it has been extremely hard for me to obtain any of YBB: by the time I wanted to place an order, every knife I was interested in buying had already gone. So, I am really happy that I made it this time.

As for feedback yes, I will get back to the forum with feedback. From what I have read though, and as you pointed out, it appears that the Ganga Ram is a good choice indeed.

Take care,

George

Unless I am wrong that is the first BGRS I have seen with a standard bolster.

Hello Svashtar

Since I am very new to HI Forum and my knowledge is really limited on many issues that people here are quite familiar with, I was wondering if you would please, elaborate on your comment about
"the firsts BGRS I have seen with a standard bolster". What do you mean by that?
What is a "standard bolster"? What other options are in addition to the "standard bolster"?

Thank you in advance,

George

He means that the bolster, the piece of metal between the handle and the blade, ends at the junction of the two rather than extending up the blade.

I note some of the specials include the word "Delivered" after the price. My assumption is that those that do not have a delivery fee. On the website I see only an "International" shipping fee. What is the usual fee for items shipped within the CONUS?

Thanks.

all prices on the website are "delivered" prices. The only shipping charges are for knives that are shipped to international destinations. And those prices vary dramatically.

Thanks Daniel, and I don't mean to be thick, but does "delivery price is included" pertain to BFC specials as well? And if so, why do only some include the term "delivered" next to the price?

Again, thanks.
