Where's them fins?

Good snag knochelbiter. GRS is a good khuk. Welcome to HI and the Forum.

I hope you emailed Yangdu at himimp@aol.com first. She goes by the first email that she gets.

Thanks stickfred. I was drinking coffee and watching like a hawk... I'm a little jittery with excitement now, as this is my first kukri.

I know that you're going to love it and it won't be your last knochelbiter. Can't wait to hear you singing the praises of the wonderful hand forged tools.

You picked an ace for a first khuk, Grats man enjoy and Welcome to HI:D:D:D

Thanks guys. I've been lurking around here for a couple weeks since I made the tough decision that I needed another knife, for "bush work" :)

After reading pretty much every thread on the forum I had it narrowed down to a Ganga Ram, 15 inch, villager finish, wood handle.

And today this one shows up! Must be karma!

I should say, too, that it was the dedication of the HI fans that cinched the sale for me. Not very often you see personal devotion to a product, company or place like this on the big, anonymous internet... knew I had stumbled onto something special.

Going to go stare at the mailbox now... cheers from Canada!

Has found a home.

I'll take the Sirupati as well if still available. Would pretty much cover all my Khukuri needs ^_^

Overtime it is! D:

Slingadeski I think that you are right about that Sirupati. It should be adequate for what you were looking for. Maybe a little long for quick drawing (unless you become proficient with RayC's technique described here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=146586), but you probably won't get too much trouble walking down the street with it hanging off your belt. All in all it is a good working tool and I'm sure that you will enjoy it.

Slingadeski, first off congratulations on deciding on your first HI blade. May it serve you well. Merely posting on the forum page, however, is not enough to secure it. If you have not already, email Yangdu at himimp@aol.com telling her that you want it. Good khuking!

Indeed! Between this and the bonecutter, I should have my bases covered. I love the handle on this one too. Matches the natural finish on my guitar! Thanks for that link! I love doing revolver fastdraw. I'll add something like this to my practice regimen. :-)

Aye, thanks for the heads up Broken Eye. I actually sent off the email before I posted the link. The post is just a courtesy to other forumites to show I've already contacted her.

That Sirupati looks nice.

Martial artists' favorite! Light, nimble, and fast, and yet sturdy enough to go through a tree. I can just imagine one in each hand of a master of Escrima/Kali/Krabi Krabong or what have you. Can't believe it's still sitting there. It might not be for much longer...

Oh yeah, the Sirupate is definitely a nice one. Having got one only yesterday (thanks again Frank!), I was definitely surprised with the chopping power of it. Extremely lively in the hand, but the combination of decent length and beautiful forward-heavy balance was more than enough to deliver excellent bites into a 2x4 I had lying around.
