Nice to see that Bura is back to the standard bolster on the WWII. I really like that one the best today. I have one very similar by Bura with a red chandan chainpuri style handle and habaki bolster. Mine is 1/2" shorter and 1 oz. less and handles like a dream.

I always wanted to get one of those horn inlaid dhankuta scabbards. But when I ordered one Uncle told me they were out and sent me a silver kothimoda scabbard instead. It's pretty and matches the one on the Royal kothimoda, but I love the workmanship on this one. A fantastic deal at $125 off the regular price web site price for this model.

I thought prices were going to go UP, not DOWN. Geez, I'm impressed! Excellent price on the Sirup, and a nice 12" AK. If you're looking for a great backpacking khuk, you couldn't go wrong with that- and it's not often I've seen the small AKs with wood handles.

I picked up a couple of "Kantunje my specials" with wood handles a few months ago (one for me, one for my brother in CO). I haven't seen too many of these since. Neat blades.

Very nice Ganga Ram. Not too pointy not too curved just right!

Yes, he's been putting more of a belly to them lhen lately hasn't he, and rounding the tips more? Looks like the old Bura.

Looks more like the picture on the website. I may have to buy a THIRD if they keep making them like that:thumbup:

and..yeah..more BELLY I guess that's actually what I meant not so much less curve in back but a larger cutting area in back.

I finally got one from this forum, it took a few trys but persistence paid off the GRS is one of my favorite kuks. I appreciate all the folks on this forum who contribute information I'm still new at this and usually find all the answers I'm looking for with the search function so I rarely write in. Thanks to all I'll be in the back ground. Bob

Good to hear that you got the GRS Bob, out of all of my kuks my 17in GRS is always my go to kukri when something needs to be done.

I'm happy that you found the blade you wanted. There is a lot of information here now and in the old sources. If you have a question about something ask.
You'll find a whole lot of opinions, huh?
Welcome to the forum.
