That cleaver is a must for anyone. Had mine for a few days and looooove it.

Wow... great deal on that cleaver. Two glorious lbs of sharp steel for a mere C-note.... and just yesterday in a moment of weakness I promised my wife that I wouldn't buy any more knives. Life can be so cruel at times!

You got it right, Roger... I don't even have a store-bought cleaver in the kitchen anymore. I use an HI Cleaver exclusively. I think convex is a superior edge for a cleaver... it just separates stuff better. I keep the edge sharp & convex & its the best dang cleaver I've ever used. Acidic foods will patina the heck out of the finish in short order.... but it adds character to the blade!
