T'ain't showing prices yet, on my screen. Probably a good thing, as I've no $ to spare anyhow. :D

That purty one second from the right has a bit of a resemblance to the Sarge knife. Is there some hybridization going on?

Ooh Ahh. :)

Steve

Edit:
Dawgone. Couldn't stand it. Email sent on #2 14" 12 oz. Antler.

Edit 2: Thank goodness. Someone beat me to it. Debt is good, but.....

Yeah, not showing prices here, either.

But I'm as poor as you are. :(

Update: Looking good, prices and all.

Holy Cow! It's "House of Flying Daggers"

Been doing too much sharking lately, gonna let these simmer a bit. Still, them little ones are calling to me, especially the one with "Karam" wood. Ain't familiar with the wood, but like the nice "buckskin" color.

I would like to see a post from anyone who pics one of the larger ones up regarding how these chop compared to a 12" AK. They are close to the same weight so I'd be interested to know.

Also anyone who has etched them to see how far they are hardened.

HD?

They seem to be full tang so the weight would be more balanced and less cutting edge-heavy for chopping.

Just a guess.

Hmm, I got one of the 11" kardas. I just took it out (yeah, I keep it in my lunch box. SO WHAT???) and gave it a few swings. Doesn't feel like a chopper at all. Of course, the extra 3" of steel on the 14" guys is going to make a huge difference.

But then, I wouldn't chop with a 12" AK, either. Doesn't feel right to me.

I don't think a karda was ever intended to be a dedicated chopper. In a pinch, maybe
Hey, Madam Yangdu, any left?

Oh holy Cow, these 14" YCS kardas are great.
It's a whole new thing, baby, and yes they can chop...

This one really hurts... I tried for the #2, #6 combination and was just a little short. It was the absolute perfect birthday gift if had worked...

Funny, when they were for me, I didn't mind missing out as much. BUt when the perfect gift goes away it's really tough...

11 inch Karam wood handle YCS left.

True gentlemen here in the Cantina, I mention I like the look of the little 11 inch karda with the karam wood, and lo and behold it's the only one left.

Only honorable thing to do? You guessed it, e-mail sent. :D

Can anybody who's got a handle done in karam wood give me a heads up what it's like? Thanks.

Sarge, I just got a 20" WWII villager with a karam wood handle. A little softer than we're used to, seems to pick up dirt/grime very quickly (it's completely unfinished, not even oiled) and needs complete sanding down. It's a beautiful yellow color, a little paler than 'post-it-note'.

Mine's going to get the TruOil treatment.

Thanks Aardvark, I'll treat it with kid gloves until I can steel wool it and seal it with tung oil. BTW, did a quick bit of research and found that the Karam tree figures prominently in religion of the region. In India, they have a Karam festival every year. Good stuff. :)

Sarge

Do you have the link for that, Sarge? I did a search and found basically nothing, except a bunch of people's names.
