A movie model by someone other than Bura!
And it has the grip ring!!!
If it was the black horn handle like the one on the HI website, I would be all over it! I hope they make another black horn handle WITH the ring... It helps the grip a LOT!!!

Does anyone know what you should do with Neem wood after you get it? Does it need any treatment... Normally, I would say YES, but that would seal in the smell...Which MIGHT be a good thing, but when I open my trunk, I always know my little Neem handled Baby Chitlangi Khukuri is in there, and that it should keep out the bugs!!!

That Uddha Sword is calling to me too... It looks like a beg Japanese kitchen knife, or like my old barbque knife! ARGH.... I just realized that that got taken too, along with everything else in the other house!!! ARGH!!!!

Dang...those are some gorgeous blades...

I really like the neat set up for the pics!

Really showcases the DOTD's!

Cripes, I really like that Village Special but I move too slow on checking as I am usually on the office computer during the day. 75$ is a great price and would not anger the wife after buying my used (pre safety lock) S&W 37 for CCW.

O well another time.

I like karam much more than neem, but that is pretty. Also, I may be wrong, but there seems to be way less recurve on that movie model blade than on the others I've seen. I think that makes it a bit more useful overall.

Tnx.

Norm

BTW, what a great combo on that little village special. To my mind the best wood ever with hill walnut, combined with a great all around blade. Standard bolster as well. Wish I had snagged this. I have a 20" of these by Sher, but often a smaller blade is a lot more useful.

15" Village special... What a bad day to pick to stay away and get my addiction under control...

Yeah, you know this was one of those deals where you could have not gone wrong just sending a single mail to Yangdu saying "I'll take them all!"

I would have done that, but there was this little niggling matter of coming up with $400...

:D

If I wasnt in to the loan sharks already Id buy that movie model.
Look at these DOTDs!
Unbelievable stuff...

Doesn't help that I stopped by my local FFL yesterday to ask him to order a new-in-box, pre-ban SAR-1 for me. Be worse if he wasn't able to get it after the amount of time I've been looking for one (the site I asked him to get it from now says they're sold out). I'll have to call him tomorrow. Tough call on what I'd do with the Saiga-12s supposed to be coming in in October from the new importer (and some U.S. manufacturers set to make 8 and 10 rd. box mags and 10 rd. drums for them). That or a great white bit of sharking...

Never heard of an Uddha sword before, but it certainly puts me very much in in mind of the Afghan Khyber knives. Roughly the same approximate dimensions as the one I picked up over there. Might have to keep my eyes peeled for one of these.
