Absolutely stunning! But can't justify it right now.. Not with other pretties en route..

Though I Do like that ASTK...

Argh that BC is calling my name, but my wife has put the breaks on all spending until we FINALLY get moved and get some expenses under control:o

Dharane Limbuwan... Chitlangi meets Siru?..I like!!! Lots of fuller to polish!

Agreed. Lachu has been making some great blades recently.

My first CAK was made by him and was just perfect. fit, finish, edge, proportions, not a blemish or crooked line. Amazing for a hand made piece. Rajkumar is my favorite Kami but that CAK stands out to me as being a "perfect" hand made knife and example of its type. Possibly my best Khukuri fit/finish wise really. This ASTK is a looker too.

Geez...I'm dying here, that Dharane Limbuwan is just calling...I gotta resist though, waiting for something else, oh GOD, what to do?!

Got an ASTK by Lacchu which got half a sun as a mark.
Others have Lacchu ASTKs with a trident sign.
Will be interesting to see what kind of mark this Amar Singh from Lacchu bears.

Com'on fellas. Save me from myself. A 15" bc is probably my Grail Khuk when it comes to hiking. Such no nonsense graceful yet aggressive lines. Looks like a monster...in a good way. It would be so nice hanging on the wall of my new man cave. I mean, I probably deserve a little celebration for the new move...grrrr I better not. I just had to buy a washer, a dryer, and a fridge.

But man is it tempting. Just gorgeous:eek:

its a great knife and I would buy it if I did not have auntie holding me a horn handled pen knife with that mana ! lol i want to pay for those before dibbing !

You deserve a little celebration Steely. Go for it! It sings to me but I got some of those same excuses and I'm not moving so I got nothing to celebrate. It does sing to me though. It's a beast for sure.

This is the first Limbuwan I've ever seen. Anyone know the background on those?

Actually means "land of the Limbu" As in Limbu people in east Nepal.
Search that encyclopedia site for "Limbuwan Gorkha War" and or
"Limbuwan Gorkha treaty of 1774" where Limbuwan territories were finally annexed to Nepal. Really cool history. Boss keeps interrupting but I cant stop reading:D. I can see why the Limbu needed these weapons. They kept getting invaded by Ghorkas!

This is the first Limbuwan I've ever seen. Anyone know the background on those?

I opened the ASTK yesterday. WOW this knife is THICK!!!! I don't know why I was expecting anything otherwise haha! I really like the full tang HI knives!!!
