for those wondering abut that crack in the parang handle, it isn't a hard one to either fix or ths may well be the one for a nice new handle....

I cannot recommend this blade enough, it is fantastic to wield

Oops! The Parang is still looking for a TLC home

I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding here.... I don't want the Parang unless someone else asked for it...

Congrats on the YCS Warty:thumbup:

This is just staggering:
The original YCS model was 18" 1lb-6oz (22oz?) against
18" 41oz YCS by Santosh Kami...like twice the weight...

...but Warty has strong hands sooo:p

Its nice to see some lighter blades like the Sirupati and Ganjawal offered here.
For me they handle easier with less fatigue for most of the tasks I'd be doing and are still plenty strong.
Are these works by the newer kamis?

Santosh and Thirta are fairly new (santosh is actually Sher (the tiger's) nephew and uses the same rising sun mark his Uncle did). Vim has been with us for quite a while. I can't remember if Dharan Kami is new or just an independent contractor...

Thanks Killa. You are apparently well versed in the kami who's who. Hey this gives me an idea for a new thread. But first I must search...:)
