I never got to ask: is the Biralo an AK variant? That looks like a fuller in the blade.....

I believe so. IIRC.... it is what the Kami's and UB call a Full Ang Khola, where the fuller goes most of the way back to the bolster. As opposed to the fuller we normally see on the AK. :thumbup:
 
now those are beautiful pieces.. definitely worthy of putting on display in your home.
 
Sigh, I just ordered a panabas. The wife would KILL me. Well, maybe not kill me, but she would give me the "Evil Eye", and it would make for a COLD night.

I was debating on a new Khuk, or a pair of 'Hawks for a birthday present to myself. Unfortunately, the 'Hawks won out when the DOTD's didn't appear...

So, even if something here did catch my eye I couldn't afford it. ;)

Darn it! I waited and lost out on the AK Bowie. I really have to stop second-guessing my obsessive knife buying tendencies.

Took me a long time to make that jump myself. But once you do, you'll be a happier person. Or...a disgruntled person with plenty of stabbery.

Either way, no one will give you a hard time.
