I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for helping Himalayan Imports stay afloat while Yangdu is in Nepal. She hadn't had a vacation in years and now she gets something the self-employed rarely enjoy - a true "paid vacation".

If you haven't guessed by now.....today's Deals are the bottom of the barrel....the end of the rope....the last of the pickens...

When they're gone, they're gone (until after Yangdu returns). If you've got the urge...the itch....the trigger finger...whatever....now's the time to make your move.

A few of these were posted before and did not find their way home...so they're back up again with discounted prices. The rest are set at the prices Yangdu gave me.

Again - thank you all very much for your continued support.

(Top to bottom, left to right)

SOLD - Kagas Katne, 2 oz., 6 inches, 0.3 oz./in., $12 shipped

SOLD - Kagas Katne, 2 oz., 6 inches, 0.3 oz./in., $12 shipped

SOLD - Ang Khola, 43 oz., 21 inches, 2.0 oz./in., S.B. $90 shipped ($2 an ounce!)

This is a Brute of a chopper. Yet, it does not feel terribly heavy. The spine is a full half-inch thick - and the blade is well-fullered. The karda and chakma are both large-sized and the karda has very nice "banding" in the horn. The AK's handle is horn, but has been covered with a rubber sleeve. The grip is excellent and fits my hand well. It's not a village model - the blade is fully polished (the edge has been filed). There is probably something wrong with the handle, and that's why it got sleeved. I couldn't feel anything wrong with it myself and it sounded ok when I chopped a 2x4 with it. That said, H.I. will not guarantee it, like the regular models. So, take advantage of this discount and get a heckuva chopper!

SOLD - Hanuman - wood, 27 oz., 18.5 inches, 1.5 oz./in., K.M. $140 shipped

Perfect rig - has all the tools. Excellent traditional scabbard.

SOLD - WWII - horn, 23 oz., 18 inches, 1.3 oz./in., L.B. $100 shipped

Had a rust spot on it - I buffed it off. Better than before, but what the heck...take a discount anyway. :D

SOLD - Kobra - wood, 20 oz., 18.5 inches, 1.1 oz./in., S.B. $75 shipped

Deeply discounted - steal this perfect rig. The karda and chakma have nicely grained handles.

Sirupati - horn, 38 oz., 25.5 inches, 1.5 oz./in., S.B. $125 shipped

This is a perfect rig - and the streaking in the horn on the karda is very nice.

EMAIL to get any or all.

Important - Please Read:
  • 1. Payment is by PAYPAL (add 3%), CHECK, or Money Order ONLY.
Do not send payment to H.I. - I am collecting it here.
If you send payment to H.I. it will end up as a very nice donation to Ram's tuition. :D
  • 2. Please EMAIL me for payment address/info - please include YOUR shipping information.
  • 3. I can ship USPS Priority or FedEx Ground - Please specify which you prefer. I will ship USPS Priority by default.
  • 4. I will mark the item SOLD when I get your COMPLETE information.
  • 5. I will ship when payment arrives - no sooner.
  • 6. Price includes ConUS shipping costs. International = add $25
I am trying to make this as similar to Yangdu's Deals as possible - to keep things running smoothly, but naturally, there have to be a few changes. I will be collecting all payments and returning a lump sum to Yangdu when she returns. I am not benefiting monetarily from this. Just doing my best to help H.I. stay afloat, keep the kamis busy, and reduce some inventory.

If you have ANY questions, please feel free to EMAIL me. Bear with me...I'm sure there are going to be kinks in the system that need working out.

I'll update this first post as items are sold.

Nice quote Esav.

That Siru is calling me, more likely taunting me .... Think I'll hold out for another day though.

:D

Good luck Rajesh

It was really cool of you to do this for us while Yangdu is away, Dan. i wish i had a little money. i would have gotten one of these deals:( Anyway, thanks again for doing this. That WWII is beautiful. I have to get another one one day. Mine has a crack in the handle. With 8 to 10 hours of heavy use seven days a week it might be worn out in 20 years;) Time for the Rusty back-up plan:)

Kagas Katnes, WWII, Kobra and AK are GONE

Only Hanuman and Sirupati left...

Whover got the big AK got a steal. You can MAKE a new handle if neccesary.

Looks like rubber innertube grip there....wonder if it's horn or wood underneath? Oh- I see; horn. What a deal. I'd peel that rubber off and see if I couldn't achieve a super glue miracle. There's been lots of them.

It's there alright. You shoulda got that AK. Are you on order for a FF?

No. I was on the initial signup list but I couldn't get the $$ in time cause my Reeves axe was done and I had to use the $$ to pay for it :D Hoping to snag an extra if any show up. :D

I was lucky enough to get the AK. I like the suspense of what’s under the rubber. The worst-case scenario is the handle is messed up beyond repair. In that case, I will be forced to make another one.

Hmmm.... That would mean I get to pick out some cool material to make a new handle out of, start a thread about how to get the handle on and off, install the handle of my design and choice, and have the pride of a tool I worked on. Sounds good to me.

If the handle is in good shape, the AK and I will go punish some trees and bushes on my property. Needless to say, I excited.
