i thought i had found a great deal on ebay for my first boker knife. a boker subcom for $12 shipped. little did i know that it was fake, the thing that gave it away was the polished star screws on the all black subcom. i realized it after it had arrived while i was browsing through the boker website, and didn't see any that matched the one i had. then i searched youtube to find out the one the i have is distributed by a china based company call dealxtreme. i guess i got what i paid for!
i have to say it is a good knockoff, i can't really complain too much as i only paid $12 for it. it came razor sharp, it locks solid, and functions great. the seller didn't really false advertise as it was just listed as a used knife with no box, so i can't complain to the seller about it. the pictures showed all the markings on it.. boker, clb, aus-8, etc., and i fell for it. thankfully it wasn't costly!
my question is... how can dealxtreme get away with selling these copys? its not only boker copys that they sale. there is also benchmade, coldsteel, and other big names in the knife industry that they have listed on there website. does these companies even know about dealxtreme? sounds like a court case to me.
