Simply state what you would like to see out of the Gold Class product development team (i.e., existing knife model used, materials used, coatings/non-coatings, etc.).. This is an idea thread for future Gold Class models, so go nuts with your personal preferences peeps. Inspiration strikes anywhere, maybe your idea will help inspire the powers that be.

My model: 940

Steel: (1) M390/ (2) CPM-M4

Steel Coating: None - However, DLC works ok ;)

Bolster: Black Anodized Ti

Scale: Un-polished CF

Odd, that DLC is your preferred coating and my least favorite. I like to keep blades oiled and the DLC just doesn't play nice with oil. Yeah, I know with DLC they shouldn't need to be regularly oiled, but ...

Anyway, my pick would be for a very sharp looking gentlemen folder that's perfect for probably only me. Think highly custom 705 or 707

Axis lock (the main reason why I've always liked Benchmade designs)
2.75" - 3" Drop point blade with lots of belly, a slicer
Ti liners with have been anodized
Carbon fiber scales which have been figured
Barrel spacers which have been anodized
Max length of 6.5"
s110v blade (no experience with this steel but its probably 20 louder than s90v)

lol I can see why a lot of people might not like it, but for some weird reason, the light "rubbed-off" look it gives off with use - I really like.. e.g., if you look at a used DLC Ritter - the blade shows a lot of character.. But my number one would always be a plain uncoated blade (easy to buff out and polish mild scratching/scuff marks).

I like to oil my blades too, I'm still waiting on BM to release an uncoated M4 - hopefully in a 940 ;)
