I love my 555HG so much that I haven't even looked at another folder since getting mine last Christmas. I think you have created the perfect modern folder. :D That is all. ;)

P.S. I really do love this folder, way more than I ever imagined. I bought a 556 a few years ago and did not really care for it. The 555 however is a different story. Grand slam home run.

I bought my first Mini Grip (556) right after they came out, roughly 18 years ago, and have been using daily them since. I like them so much, there are seven of them in the safe as we speak.
That said, I had never been attracted to the 555's until recently. For whatever reason, I really started liking the sheepsfoot blade of the 555, and finally bought one a couple weeks ago.
I understand why you like the 555, it is a very cool design. Not sure why you don't like the 556 :D, but everyone has different tastes. That is the great thing about the Griptilians, there are plenty of choices. BTW, even though we all know what they look like, pics are always welcome :D

Here is the 555 I picked up a couple weeks ago. Standard issue. Nothing out of the ordinary, and not near as cool as yours :(

I too like the oval shape the 550 used to have. Was not aware Grip's have been around since the 90's either! That's a long time to keep them in production. Hopefully it stays that way.
Atony that Ti Wilkins 550 is awesome!

Here's a picture of my Mini-grip, please excuse the poor quality. There is nothing special about it but it is mine and I am proud of it. I think maybe the reason I never warmed up to my 556 was because I don't care for thumb studs and it did not slice nearly as well as my 555hg.

That looks familiar :D Even though it is a normal production knife, there is actually something special about them. That's why they are so popular...
Doesn't matter if it is a regular production knife, a knife from the custom build program, or a Ritter, they are all great knives

They are a pretty good EDC knife. It'll serve well for years.

I decided to get one after watching that video BM made testing one. Crazy strong. Then there are a few others on YouTube. Certainly will take the punishment.

Wish the grip had the hole on other blade styles, I hate studs. This was my first sheepsfoot blade style and it took a bit to get used to but I too think this is the perfect folder.

Took me a lot of time and money to figure out the Ritter MiniGrip is the best EDC for my needs and the 550 is a close second.

I couldn't agree more!! except my favorite model is the 556, but thats all about personal preference. my only complaint is that my pivot screw kept coming loose to the point that it was super smooth but it had a lot of blade play, but i fixed that up with some thread locker :D anyways here are a few pics (along side my wonderful delica)
