Prices for Ecolite 112s are climbing heading into 3 digit territory. Please bring them back into production.

Some nice enhancements:
- Just a bit thinner. It's a good size for pocket carry but taking 1 or 2 mm off would be nice.

- Offer it in 2 blades, the classic 112 clip and the 442 drop point.

- More color options. Safety orange would be great.

On the Buck closeout webpage about six months ago, I picked up a model 450. In essence this is a black Ecolite 112 with a somewhat "kinked" drop-point blade that was factory Parkerized (or blackened by some similar method).

I took out the kink with a file and scoured off the blackening, leaving a nice drop-point. However it does have the same blocky contours as all Ecolites. Good idea to narrow them by a few millimeters.

I'll get a photo posted soon.

I like the Ecolites and the paperstone they were made from. It is too bad they discontinued them. I too, would like to see their return and orange would be a great color (though burnt orange would be more to my liking).

The only other change I would like to see would be a larger pivot that is adjustable.

Carrying the plum red at work this week and I like them just the way they are. I'm glad I didn't miss out on these!! I wouldn't mind having a custom shop 30V paperstone 112 in any good color but dark blue comes to mind!

DocT's idea of a stronger pivot is great. Would love no nail nick too.

Regardless, I just wish they'd come back.

I too wish they would bring them back. I picked up a green 112 a couple years ago and didn't realize they had been discontinued until I tried to get another. If they bring them back, thinner would be better, The 110/112 always seemed a little thicker than they needed to be.

Canceling a post about 450s being available here and there, as I was mistaken. The model 450s available on auction sites have a different handle than the one I got off the Buck close-out site.
