I just got my CRK Sable IV in the mail the other day. Leaving aside the Sebenza (just because you CAN'T top the Sebenza)....

This is the most wonderful knife I have ever had the privelage of touching, much less owning. When Chris's site says "Forged out of one piece of steel" I don't think I realized quite what that means. This is just....incredible. It's like a crowbar with a razor edge on it in terms of solidity (not that I'd do something as idiotic as try to pry with it).

I've had debates with a knife knut friend of mine as to the aesthetics of different blades, and I remain convinced that this really is the most beautiful CRK fixed blade, aside from maybe the frigging shortsword that CRK used to sell. It's understated, strong as hell and looks like it's going to be versatile like no other blade I own.

Congrats on another fantastic product, CRK.

Ill post a reply. I think that this is a fantastic and cool knife as well. If you own one it shows that you know what you are doing, and whats going on in the world. Nice work.

While I am a fan of all of the One Piece range, I agree with you that the Sable is a beauty. It is the most useful shape for most outdoorsman uses. Whether hunting or camping, the Sable is about as good as it gets in the CRK line. Use it in good heath.

I agree. I have a 4" Chris Reeve/Al Mar (a mini Sable w/ serrations) which I can't keep out my pack, despite a lot of competition. I had a Sable once but foolishly traded it for a Project II. ;) Anyhow, you picked a nice blade - I'm ready to get another.
