I saw a 3 line Buck 120 with stag handle (Dear horn). Does anyone know if there were any suck knives produced by buck or could this have been done by a 3rd party.

There certainly have been some stag handled 120's done by buck; obviously don't know if they one you are looking at is one.

I'm having difficulties interpreting what is being said in this? Buck did the entire 100 series using DEER antler in late 88 and 89. These will have year date codes. Look again at the stamp. DM

Buck has made many stag handled 120's over the years. I'm also sure many standard knives have been "customized" with stag handles after leaving the factory. There was a time when you could order a custom knife from the factory with the handle of your choosing including stag. There have also been standard catalog offerings over the years. The most recent I can think of was in 2006. The stag handled 120 shown below dates to about 1981.

David, you put the question mark at the correct place. As I remember Buck never used deer stag for the 100 series. But that needs another research.

My Daughter (Promiseland Tannery) sold Buck Knives a bunch of Slab Deer Antler to make knives with in 2013 but I never did see the knives they made? Mark
