So as those of you have been around here a while know, I got my girl a cryo a while back. Well she happened to be over the other night when some new knives came and saw me putting them in my storage cases. Lol and of course she needed to investigate. So she stumbles opon my knockout and starts fondling it the way only a knife person can recognize. Then she proceeds to explain how much she really likes this knife and how it feels in her hand, even pulls the cryo out of her pocket to see how the knockout fits in her "girl pants". I guess I have found what her valentines day gift will be. The problem is I don't really have the money to support my knife addiction... Now there is her developing addiction to deal with as well lol. May have created a monster I can't tame this time. Good news for dave, bad news for my bank account.

Hehe. That's funny. Just don't let her learn about the USA made Kershaws, or the ZT's and your bank account shouldn't hate you as badly.

Knockout is USA made, and she does think my zt knives are cool but they are way too big to fit in those girl pants of hers.

Yes to the money pit, and if I ever get a tilt or 777/888 I will be sure to keep them hidden from her. Best not to fan the flames too quickly lol.

OiYou sir, have a very unique dilema on your hands. Sounds like you have a very understanding and awesome girl. Good luck to you AND your bank account. ;)

Well, now you have a solid reason to buy only the largest ZTs and Kershaws for yourself.

Just hope that she doesn't discover cute girly cargo pants.

Lol that is why I carry zt knives, I know she won't steal them. I have to admit I was a little surprised she was so fond of the knockout, it is thin but not small by any means. I don't even know if it fit in her pocket, if it did there certainly was no room left hahaha. Luckily she hasn't discovered iwb carry like how I carry my 0350 at work.

^^^
Was just going to mention that my girl appendix carries her Blur sometimes. Brings a smile to my face every time she pulls it out of hiding.
Hell, before we knew any better, she'd stuff a CS Recon 1 in her girl pants. Looking back on it, it was pretty hilariously obnoxious.

I was surprised to find out that my grandma likes my Blur. I was showing her all of my knives, and after she got done looking at all of them, she reached back for the Blur and said "Oh, I like this one.".

I'm going to give my wife her 5th knife for our anniversary this Saturday, a pink Leek. She already has a Chive and Scallion in pink, also a purple/dlc Blur, and a purple Spyderco Meercat. She doesn't understand the whole black G-10/dlc thing in general, unless it's a unique blade shape like a ZT0400. Anyway, I am very lucky to have such an understanding wife!

Mazel tov! I couldn't get my wife into knives at all... The biggest stride I've made was throwing a SAK attached to a Maglight Nano in her bag without her knowing, and her telling me she used the knife while she was out, and thanked me for putting it in there.

I MAKE my wife carry a knife, even if it is in her purse. I really wish I could get her to edc on her person. I strongly recommend checking out pawn shops and such for cheap kershaws for the old lady.

That's how it started for us; I got her a couple of different small SAK's and one of the old Schrade Tough Chips (small multi-tool), and it made her appreciate having useful tools handy. From there it was a small step into the smaller knives (I forgot about the tattoo dragonfly that got her hooked first). She really likes the idea of the tip-lock on the small Kershaw Onions, makes her feel safer about carrying, not having to worry about them accidentally coming open in her purse and getting cut. Anyway, they all count towards the family collection, lol!

You have a cool grandma. Mine would be like "OMG A PSYCHOPATHIC KILLER" Even if it was me.
