Dear Santa,

I have be a fairly good boy this year, so, here is my wish list:

I want a "Sneaky Pete Pocket Carry". The shape and feel of my Sneaky Pete are so awesome, but It's a little too big to use every day when working. If I had a slightly smaller one, I could drop it in my pocket and go...

If that is not possible, a Bushfinger in really interesting colors like that corn flour blue would be wonderful.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful for all the beautiful knives in the pretty brown wrappers. There is nothing more fun than tearing into that box, then carefully untying and unwrapping to find that true piece of metallurgical art inside.

Sincerely,

-Will

I like the idea of a larger SP with maybe a little more guard. but I must admit...a lighter, more portable version is also intriguing...

Dear Santa,
Please put it in Andy's heart that there needs to be more burlap Micarta handled knives in this world. Oh, and just for good measure, go ahead and make one of those a black dyed burlap, contrasting color pins, 5/32" CPM154, full height grind, tapered tang Kephart. And one more thing... Slow down the other BF members trigger fingers should this show up on Fiddleback Friday.

edited: changed blade thickness to 5/32"!

Dear Mr. Clause,
If there was a burlap micarta (any color, I don't care) , full height or at least a very high grind on a piece of 5/32" O1 with a tapered tang Bushfinger under the tree I could be persuaded to turn my back on what you did with my mother.

I just laughed so loud I woke up the kids! Thank you grintongue for ending my day with a good laugh!!!

Dear Santa,

I've been good (enough?) and would like to believe that a Woodsman in burlap or canvas will be under the tree.

Thanks

Dear Santa,

I know you're busy, so I am offering some options …

1) I would really like to find a burl-handled Kephart, nice high convex on 1/8" CPM154 with a tapered tang under the tree this year. If that's not possible, please see #2.

2) I would be perfectly alright with a stunningly beautiful woman whose happiness revolves around bringing me cold beer, keeping my Fiddlebacks in top shape, and being completely into whatever I happen to be into at any given point in time …

3) Please disregard #1.

Ha! Good luck with that

Bushfinger in CPM 154 with high -er grind convex with some fiddleback texture on the remaining flats dressed in burlap from shadetree would be the one I would get in a heartbeat

Sneaky pete with black bolster and red burlap. Red pins in the black, black in the red. 1/8 o1. I think this would be amazing !

Edit with a swedge

Heck, I just got the one I've been wanting for some time this Friday, and wasn't expecting! I'm good for a while :D

Ol' Kriss Kringle giving you a jingle.
Fiddlebacks come my way now and again,
but if it's not asking too much,
please send me a Woodsman.

Dear Fiddleback Santa,

As you know I discovered Fiddleback Forge during my quest to become Uncle of the year last Christmas. As a result I gained that title with a huge smile and a hug from a then 14 yr. old boy when my nephew opened up his new Fiddleback KPH with bloodwood scales sitting in a customized Rock Lowe sheath. You know how hard is it to get a 14 yr. old teenager to hug his uncle right? Yea it was a total win for me. This purchase planted the Fiddleback bug in me and I soon followed up with an additional purchase from the BF exchange of a Scandi Terrasaur. I was excited about this knife do to its extraordinary spalting and maroon linen micarta handle. I soon found myself gifting this fine knife to my brother for his birthday in April. I have to admit to you Santa that I set my mother up with this act of kindness to my brother. See my brother and I don’t exactly Like each other. Don’t get me wrong as you know brotherly love is strong with us but sometimes we want to crack each other in the mouth. You understand I’m sure. We my mom showed some disappointment when I gifted the knife to my brother but little did she know I had already purchased her a Fiddleback KPH with cocobolo scales. I continued the trickery and actually had my mom pick up the knife in the mail. It was sitting at her house for almost a week before I picked it up. I noticed that the makers mark was blurred so Andy asked me to send it home so he could fix it. Mom did the post office duties on sending it off and picking it back up as well. I know Santa that’s more on the naughty side than the nice side. So in May when she opened her birthday gift mom started to cry when she saw the gorgeous wood handle of her very own KPH sticking out of another custom Rick Lowe sheath. Again I was on the time of the Son list. Still though Santa I hadn’t found the Fiddleback Forge knife for myself. I had been looking and lookings eagerly awaiting on Friday mornings. Checking before work and sneaking online at work to get a glimpse of Andy’s Friday’s treasures. One Friday after Blade show I saw it. My fiddleback! It was a beautiful Duke with black and red plum scales. I wanted it so bad but didn’t have the funds. On a long shot I emailed Andy and asked he could work with me on the payment of the knife. Andy being the awesome guy he is said he could work with me. After shuffling some stuff around I was able to pay in full for my fiddleback. It went straight to Rick Lowe for a sheath. (See a trend here) I loved My Duke it was hefty like me and felt great in my hands. I was too afraid to use it so it sat on my shelf with the other items I buy and then are too afraid to use. I know I know Andy always says his knives are made to be tools. I did attempt a feather stick one afternoon as boredom set in on me. The Duke handled very well.

Alas I had to make a hard decision to sell my fiddleback. You see I had some unexpected medical issues come up with my dogs and it took most of my savings to pay for their procedures. You know I love my dogs like sons and daughters. As a result I was facing not being able to buy times for my truck. I had already been stretching out the life of these tires and they were on their last legs. On a whim after I posted about needing tires on the BF Fiddleback forum page offering up My Duke for sale. I knew that only a Fiddleback Forge Forum addict would be able to give My Fiddleback a good home. With some bittersweet I answered a Private Message about the right. Its new owner was found. I boxed up my Fiddleback and ship him to his new home. The money went to buy some tires.

If Santa was to drop off something in white linen micarta from the nessmuk line it would be a super Christmas for me. As you can see Santa I’m a giver just like you are. I give to others before I even do for myself. It’s just how I am

Thanks Santa

Rob

Dear Santa,

You and the Fiddleback Forge crew have been really good to me last Christmas and this year, thank you all! I would like a Toothpik this year if at all possible. I would also like a Palmer and a really burly Padre in O1. I know these are really tall requests, but... you can never expect to get them if you don't ask! :) I hope all is well there in the North Pole! And if at all possible, please look out after all my Fiddleback friends with theirs wants, if at all possible.

Merry Christmas, Will

Dear Santa,

My wish is that willic's request comes true. He touched on three models that I would like to see again in the regular line-up. The only change that I would make to his request is CPM154 for the Padre.

Dear Santa, along with Will & Phil's requests (what can i say; they both have impeccable knife taste), I'd also like to see more ≥4.5" profiles done in 1/8" 01, along with some new naturally stable wood varietals for Ken to glue up in all sorts of awesome bolstered combos!

Best,

Will
