Am I strange for wanting a Medium Sebenza?

I'll probably be ending up buying the small one with micarta, but one can want, can one not?

These sneaky bastards with their elegance and simpleness, their highly thought through design and understated beauty have slowly crawled and seeped into my mind..

You are not alone in wanting one, but I highly doubt it will happen. They are a fairly small shop and can't make every idea or desire we have.

Sadly, the ti-lock does not do it for me.
I'll just have to start with the small one,
with micarta. Thats sexy!

Have seen where people have asked for one over the years, but I never see it happening. If anything, CRK would come out with a different folder like the Ti-Lock rather than a medium sebenza. I for one would like to see a larger mnandi, but it goes against what the mnandi was designed for in the first place, so I dont see that happening either.

You are not "strange", at least you are not alone.
Probably it will behelpful to handle the Sebenza 25 or the Umnumzaan, so the large Sebenza feels more like "Medium".
These days we see a trend towards large.
A carbonfiber scale can help reducing weight.

IMO, the best alternative for someone looking for a "medium" Sebenza is the Knifeart.com exclusive Large Sebenza with a Carbon Fiber scale . . . when they're in stock, that is. At 3.7 ounces, the Large CF Sebenza gives you the size of a Large Sebenza for slightly more weight than a Small Sebenza. I've got the Small CF Sebenza and it's terrific. It's also light as a feather. And the Small Carbon Fiber is in stock last time I looked.

If my suggestion appeals to you, call Knifeart.com and ask them when they're expecting another shipment of Large Carbon Fiber Sebenzas.

A folder about the size of the Ti-Lock with the same blade (gorgeous blade) and a RIL would be perfect. Doubt it'd feature a pivot bushing unfortunately. Actually, just redesign the Ti-Lock for a RIL, remove the holes from the handle, maybe inlay a little micarta and keep the stonewashed handles, and you've got a top seller right there.

I'd like to see the same thing so you're not alone. I don't care about weight but my favorite blade length is right around 3.25" so I'd love to see a sebenza with that blade.

Honestly, the lengths are what kept me from CRK for a long time. Finally, I couldn't handle it anymore and caved. I got a large because I still think the small is too short. But if they ever come up with a 3.25" blade sebenza, I'd be all over it!

Agree 100%.
