I tried the scale screws and could not get them to budge, ended up stripping all of them. I could barely get the clip screws out. I had to send it in. They say that they do not use threadlocker on the ZTs so I'm guessing the difficult comes from the scales themselves.
Mine came right off. Did you try heating the pivot with a clean soldering iron? If there is any threadlock it will heat it up and make it possible to turn.
I had no problem with the clip or body screws, but the pivot just wants to spin in place, and when I use the two t8 drivers it feels like I will strip it if I force the issue
