Deassist ss Volt

So there is lots of talk about deassisting kershaw knives right now, but has any one done a volt ss? With the long blade, it seems that it would probably flip well. I have a sheet of jade g10 that is just itching to be made in to a scale for it.
 
I don't think de-assisting a Volt SS would work because it doesn't have a detent hole for the detent ball to sit in.
 
I figured I could drill one in like people have done with the cryo. I took the torsion bar or the other day, and was able to get the blade about half out even with out being able to build up tension against the detent. So I think it will be good, may just need a little wrist action...
 
I'm sure you could drill a detent hole and it would work well as a manual flipper. Just please, don't wrist-flick it. You'll end up turning into the next nutnstupid.
 
I know sticktodrum has done it to his cryo. He even made a YouTube video showing how.
