Picked up a few Death Valley USA knives and decided to do some custom handle work with this fighter, was longer than I like. really just some shortening-reshaping and decided on a lanyard hole. matching the sand blast finish was interesting. had to do a fine brush sanding then sandblast and that left it very light colored so i used gun blue to darken it, it was too dark so i went back and lightly sand blasted it again til the color matched. i use counter sunk screws and vise to compress the flanges. Cleaned up the finger groove and refinished it too.
props to David Fabricius on the nice blades, excellent tempered carbon steel was hard to drill, had to use diamond bits for some work.
