I landed in LA from a week in Alabama last Saturday. I was picked up from the airport and went straight to Death Valley for a little relaxing vacation. Spent three days there hiking and taking pictures. It was my first time there and I can’t wait to return.

I was there in July of 97. We visited a lot of the same places. I love how a knife randomly shows up in your photo shoot! Nice touch.

wonderful pics, man that is dry. i thought s/w texas was arid but death valley is aptly named. i understand there is a place called the salton sea that people catch corvina out of. great contrasts, thanks --dennis

Man that is very pretty (from a distance) :D I love the look of the desert, but when I'm in one I think back to my glacial lake ridden homeland with fondness!

some pics Reuben.. Death Valley is an amzing place.. it's been a long time since we were there..

Damn man, your photos never cease to blow me away. Amazing place, looks like another planet!

Next time you get there go up north of Ubehebe to the Race Track. There's a couple old ghost towns up that way. I used to spend a lot of time bumming around up there.

Another good way is to come into the valley from Tehachapi.

Beautiful shots. I'm curious too about the temperature.

Great pics. That is one incredible place. I love going there,

Great photos of the area -I can only imagine what it would be in person. Thanks!

Some amazing photos Reuben, looks like a great place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there :) That rock formation your lady friend is hiding behind is really cool.

Thanks for the amazing shots bro! The desert looks like an amazing place.. to visit.

Nice pics ...

Any advice on the best places to go in the park and which to pass on? It is huge.

Also, good vs. bad camping grounds? I have seen that there are a ton.

Did you have a split neutral density filter for those pics?
