Debating on a Five Knife Deal

Im debating whether or not to complete a knife deal on the local craigslist. The deal is for:

-Spyderco Warrior Traditional
-Cold Steel Rajah II
-Cold Steel Paradox (alluminum handle)
-Boker Escrima
-Benchmade Naxramus (black finish, plain edge, drop point)

I'd like to keep the benchmade, but probably sell the rest. I've bartered him down to $300, and that's the lowest he'll go. Is getting close to $300 in sales for the top 4 knives realistic? All the knives are like new, with no damage or use. Any advice would be helpful.

I would do the deal at $300, if I liked all the knives in that lot. It's a good deal, but not a super deal.

I think you could make back the 300 fairly easily.

To be honest, I'd do it and keep them all!

A new Warrior is $200-250, so with the Benchmade you've got more than $300 in those 2 knives alone.

However, be very, very careful with the Warrior. There are Chinese made fakes out there. The ones I've seen on ebay though have a different sheath, and that one looks like the right sheath. Still, inspect it in person to make sure the knife is legit (a fake knife could always be paired with a legit sheath).

Thanks for the advice. Is there a good way to tell a fake Warrior from a real one? I'll be able to see all the knives in person before i buy them.

A fake warrior will run away if things get bad. LMAO!

Sorry just had to do that.

The etchings are the best way to tell a fake from the real one. On both H1 is etched on the bevel of the blade, but they don't look the same. Google up some images to see how they're supposed to look. Both say Spyderco on the ricasso, but the real one also says H1 after Spyderco, while on the fake it just says Spyderco. I can't see the etchings in your above photo to make a judgement (in fact, I'd say they're suspiciously hard to make out, but that could just be innocent coincidence).

The handles are a good indicator too. The real one has the 3d bi-directional texture like you see in the Endura/Delica 4, with volcano holes. The fake just has flat textures with no holes.

All I can make out is the 1, but it looks right. Here's a link for a (dead auction) of the fake one. Nice of them to give us such pretty pictures so we can tell the differences so easily.

The pins look different too. On the real one they're round rivets, while the fake looks like it has torx/allen screws or at least indentions in the pins. The fake one also seems to be missing the metal sleeve in the lanyard hole.

Alright, I think i'm going to go ahead and make the deal. Thanks for all the help. If you guys know anyone who would want any of these other than the benchmade, let me know. I'm not looking to make a big profit here, just to get somewhere close to $300 with four of them.

Wait till you get them and then post an offer in the Exchange.
