Mike DeBethencourt is a Spyderholic...He has always taught the use of a Spyderco Endura @ his tactical Police Survival Courses..
He was the Chief Tactical KNife Instructor @ the SIG Arms Academy..
You couldn't pry an Endura out of his hands..
He invented a two position clip for the Endura..it worked tip up tip down,,
He made a Kinetic ramp attachment for the Endura..
He taught realistic Police survival skills..
his training saved lots of lives..
Michael and Heather had a beautiful daughter..Isabella.
She got cancer.
She fought the illness over the whole last year..Sometimes she almost beat it..
None of Mikes skill nor training could help his daughter...
Not once did this brave little girl give up or complain..
She smiled and laughed to the end...
Isabella passed away 12:12pm May 22...
My deepest sympathies to Mike & Heather...

Bram

Though I did not know him my heart felt sympathy goes to him. It is the hardest thing in the world to outlive ones child. Be strong and remember the whole child not the end.

Not that it matters at this point, but how old was Isabella when her body died? At least Heaven has another Angel now.

Deepest sympathies to the parents. My thoughts will be with them. May they find the strength they need.

Mike is one of the people, rather indirectly, that made me buy my endura. I am so sorry, losing a child is unimagineable to me.

My deepest sympathy to the familly. There are moments in life when you doubt the justice of God, but I do hope they'll find the strength to go on. I con't imagine anything worse than losing your child :(
