This is the original thread.

I am asking for help. I have secured a domain name for this project and have a basic website building program from my web site host
to start building a web site.
The web site is real basic and I do not have enough web site building experience to know if it can handle the amount of content and photos to do this right.
I would like to find someone to help me build this site and maybe show me how to add to it when it needs to be upgraded.
This IS NOT a for profit venture and I want to add a Pay Pal button to help with expenses to get this built and to keep it maintained.

I also need help with graphics for banners for the web site etc.
I want to raise enough money to pay for hosting for approximately five years in advance just in case something happens to me.
If something happens to me, I want to have someone who will make sure that this web site can be maintained and upgraded for years to come.
I will eventually get it all done, but it will be done a lot faster if I can get some help.
If you have any skills and want to see this happen, please e mail me at brantonknives@tds.net and we'll see what we can do to get this moving much quicker.
Thanks,

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

Thanks for all you're doing. I'd like to be involved in some way. I can help financially a bit and I'm skillled enough to fill in the blanks with code.

In this fortunate day and age NO ONE needs to 'develop a website' from the ground up. Especially for a generic fairly static site.

They are already pre-made and simply installing the pages and rewriting the text. All the hard coding has been taken care of. Once a design interface has been chosen, the template is purchased and it's up to a layman to 'fill in the blanks'. This can and will take some time, but it's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper than paying a developer.

There are scads of website hosting companies with premade templates (Intuit/Homestead comes to mind.) I purchased my own site four years ago from an $85 dollar template and added a $75 Gallery program. I spent a lot of time tweeking it but that was me.

I'll send an email tomorrow. I'm with you. Thanks.
