A day that will live in infamy. Thanks to all who served.
(Tough for me to forget this one... it's also my birthday. ;) )

Thanks for posting this. My uncle was in Germany and France. Served for a few years and was in a German prison camp for two of them. He was in the death march and escaped. Saw a lot of people killed. He was reliving it to me today because of today's occasion.

Their sacrifices are not forgotten! My grandfather was a Lancaster pilot (seen below) for the Royal Australian Air Force in WWII. Gave 'em a taste of their own medicine...

My father always remembered this day; he enlisted in the Navy shortly after and served in the South Pacific. His older brother, my Uncle, served with the Army in France and Germany. They were my inspiration to serve years later.

My Grandfather was a pearl harbor survivor...I grew up going to survivor functions. Every time he spoke of it he weeped for his lost friends... He taught me love for country and family and how to make Knives from old saw mill blades. Greatest man I ever knew...I miss him dearly

My Dad was a Navy man, all the way, because of Pearl Harbor. One of my uncles brought home a Bronze Star for action in the Pacific. My other uncle "Flew the Hump" in Burma. Not a generation to ever, ever forget!

And salutes also to all of our other warriors in harm's way and those who serve and have served. Never forget!

My grandfather served in the Army during WWII. France and Germany. Many thanks to all of your fathers, uncles and grandfathers.

My grandfather was a tank driver in WWII, an artillery spotter in Korea, and a comptroller in Vietnam. 26 years in the Army from Private to Lieutenant Colonel. He is resting in Arlington National Cemetary now. He is missed by all who knew him.
