Thanks guys but let me reinforce the theme......don't wait to get started keeping records, whether 5 knives or 500 you are going to wish you had started a record keeping method. Not only for yourself, but think about anyone who might have your special knife after you gone and how the information would make it even morre special.
A thread here on how others keep records and storage would be just what the doctor ordered, please share your experience and methodology. Especially if anyone has made up printed or computer pages that others can copy and use. After the Newletter is out in members hands I will post some of the photos here for non-members.....join BCCI.
The BCCI is looking into the possibility of printing and selling color coded, BCCI marked index cards that could be purchased from the club website. Nothing available at the moment but you can be sure Larry or I will make a thread when that project is ready to go.
Do you remember your first pocket knife, do you remember the first knife your dad, your grandad, your wife or your kids gave you. What knife was it, what was the steel, what was the scale. Keeping that vital information is not hard or time consuming. You will be glad you did, if you will just get started and keep going.
