XD45 sent me a NIB spyderco cricket, free of charge when I posted a thread asking about it for my girlfriend. He refused to let me pay him anything, a real stand up guy.

When the Saudi Scammer stole a knife from me, Zenheretic sent me a Tasman Salt. Months later, I gave it away here to keep the good karma going.
 
if you do a good deed then self promote for gain that negates any spiritual value to the doer,,at least imho..i will not enter this contest..
 
agree w/ nagod. nominating oneself for a act of altruism seems counter to the very spirit of altruism.

that said, the intended spirit of this contest is a very laudable one :thumbup:
