Decent Entry Level Wharncliffe Swayback?

I know very little about traditional folders. I'm looking for another blade to use in the office environment. I usually carry a Victorinox Bantam or Cadet, but want a little more variety. I like the lines of the swayback wharncliffe blades. What are some solid entry level knives for this design? I'd prefer U.S. made - or another country if the history is appropriate to the style. Thanks

How about a Case Swayback? I think it's available with the wharncliffe only or with a pen blade.
I don't own one, but I've only heard good things about it and it is on my 'to get' list.

As Sturzi already told, the Case Swayback would be recommendation.

Here´s a pic of my Case Swayback Gent (stainless) - the Swayback Jack has an additional penblade

It´s a nice knife for dresses...

This is an Otter Webermesser - which has a light Swayback "butt" - not that strong like the Case, but it has a single Wharnie blade and carbon steel. I don´t know if this knife available in the US.

I have a SBJ and a SBG and can recommend both. Another option if it's going to be office only is the Case Desk Knife. I use mine all of the time.

Nice knives Uncle Andi! :)

The Case offerings are based on the Case/Tony Bose collaberation knife and are definitely worth your money. I have two jacks and one gent. The gent is just like the one posted above and the jacks are as follows:

Thanks for the info! The Case seems like a good way to go. I do like the Otter, but I can't seem to find it here. The desk knife is now on my list for future purchase and would probably make a great gift too :D.

Take a look at the newly released GEC Half-Whitt.

Single-spring, Wharncliffe master, many different handle choices. I'm certainly getting the Tidioute version in Pickle Green Bone.

I'm liking that green one to.

Not a Swayback but similar in profile, the GEC Northfield #62 Courthouse whittler, is thinner than a Zippo and gives you three blades in a slim package. More of a whittler on a congress frame.

1+ for the case SBJ have one with CV blade that takes a nice edge and forms a nice patina when used for everyday tasks.

Due to your wonderful pictures I have desperately searched for a courthouse whittler in spring green. No luck though

Another vote for the Case SBJ.
I can't think of another option for the swayback wharncliffe you asked for :)

Join the crowd Josh. Pete's photos sent me on a similar search, and I doubt you and I stand alone.

I had a Case Kinfolks sway back gent, but for some reason that frame just did not sit well in my hand. I am thinking this 62 would fit me better.

And, because everyone likes knife photos, here is a shot of the Case SBG I formerly owned (along with the peanut I do still own).

those courthouse whittlers looked great, I hesitated for a while on one, and now there are practically none left on dealer sites, except expensive prototypes etc. I guess they'll bake up a new batch of them soon.

Thanks guys that #62 is one of my favorites, it was a gift for my first Father's Day, my wife and baby girl treated me very good:-) the scales have gotten darker, bright green to more of a moss green.

Just because everyones talking about green, here's a Case in that color.
