decent score ??

Im new to CRK, but I just snagged this and feel like it was a decent grab! nothing to amazing but decent. it says made it 2003, does anyone know what blade steel it will have ? the website list it as both BG42 and S30V. now I have to decide weather Im going to use it or put it away

dunno, but some of the s30v versions had low edge retention (not saying all of them did tho, just heard some folks say that, so wouldnt call it fact for sure). are you collecting or a user?

Going by the date it should be S30V.I believe they changed to S30V in Jan 2002. When you take it apart you will find a C on the blade

Good score, I paid more than that for my Plain Jane LH Classic.
Use it, don't put it away and deny why they're made, and that is to be used.
The great thing about the plains is that you can send it in for a spa treatment, list the things you want done and it will come back looking brand new.
Besides, some markings on the slabs give it personality and at that point, it becomes your knife.
