Well last night I made some scales for my 560 & 561 for the first time!
Here is the work. I think the green will be the fallout version

All done by hand. :)

Very sweet.

I really admire you folks who can do this kind of work - well done!

Thanks for taking time to post the pictures.

Thank you! I like the green one the best too. I may make a different another one. I wish they had more of a rustic looking g10. Like a bronze and black color.
I think ill anodize the titanium an aged bronze.

Looking and trying some titanium standoffs to bronze too

Those look nice, well done. Thanks for the shots of the top of the knife, havent seen that perspective until now

It's a lot of work. I do it by hand. I even drill the holes with a drill. Not a drill press. No Cnc machine. If you work with it you have to wear eye protection, wear a respirator, and gloves. G10 is basically fiberglass. It has a bad smell. It's horrible if you inhale it. Feels likes millions of tiny needles if you get it on/in your skin.

Just be smart and safe.

I'm still trying to find places with more options of g10. I would love to find some purple and black and purple and green scales

USA knife maker is a good place.

I have a couple of pieces of G10 and I recently bought a Vandalay milling table for a Dremel tool, but have no idea how to do that 3D textured effect that you get. Do you use a routing table?

Beautiful work!

That vandalay milling table is so freaking cool.

Try alpha knife supply. They have a great selection of G10 in varying colors. Also, visitor message in bound.

When you say by hand do you mean you use files or a dremel/type tool for the pattern?
