Decided to play with one of my Benchmade 300sn

I have a couple of Benchmade 300sn's and I decided to play with one.

I really like the knife, however there are some issues I have with it.

First is the finger grooves. They don't quite fit me. So I smooth out the first and left a little of the second finger groove.

Second is that it's a little to thick. So I decided to add a pattern for looks and to thin it down a bit.

Then I rounded the spine.

I then just polished everything from the blade to the screws to the pivot.

Personally, I like it. The 300SN is one of my favorite BMs. I've seen another mod or two that have focused on the handle and all of them so far have seemed to be improvements. I don't mind one finger cut out on a handle for positioning, but I don't like the whole handle taken up with them. Even with that complaint, though, the 300SN is a really nice folder for me. Good job on the mod.

Oh I like that an awful lot. Truly an improvement, and I'm a big fan of the original knife.

I especially like the scales and rounded spine. I'd love to see both blades looking down from the top from the tang to the tip up close. I would like to send these pics to my friend over at Benchmade who had a hand in designing the knife if you don't mind.

Sorry for not posting new pics. I've been sick as a dog for the last week.

Today or tomorrow I'm going to play with the grip some more. It's much better but not perfect yet. Still doesn't feel as natural in the hand as I would like.
