I know people are going to think I'm crazy. But I just can't get over the Sebenza's pointy little thumb stud. I found myself "misfiring" when opening the knife on a regular basis and this is after 2 full weeks of EDC and PLENTY of practice and break in. When I opened it slowly this wasn't an issue but I practiced and practiced trying to open it more "hurried" and would constantly miss it. This left me feeling very uneasy and not confident in the knife. It's honestly sad because everything else about the knife is so damn on point. I really wanted to love it and look past this little hiccup, but I couldn't.

Anyway, went to the shop and picked up the ZT and couldn't be happier. This thing is BADASS. Is the fit and finish the same? Not even close! Do I care? Well, I loved the fit and finish on the Seb but the reality is I will never ever own a knife I don't use regularly. So fit and finish is something that goes by the wayside over time anyway. It's kind of like a wife. The looks eventually fade so there better be some substance behind it that you really like.

As far as function goes this knife has everything I need and more. I absolutely LOVE the ease of opening that blade when it flies out of the handle. It's built like a tank and large folders have never bothered me (and I'm not some huge guy). Was just wearing it in my flimsy gym shorts while walking the dogs and didn't even notice it in my pocket. Love the deep ride and pretty excited to try out ELMAX as I have mostly owned s30v and s35vn before.

Now I'm eagerly awaiting the 0562CF and 0620CF!! Those would make a nice little ZT family!

Congrats on the new ZT! I don't think you're crazy, I owned 4 CRK's and sold them all. Nothing to do with the construction or fit and finish, they just weren't what I was looking for. I loved the 0560 I had, it was my EDC for a year and a half straight. Now my tastes have changed, but the 0560 is a great knife.

I understand your enamorment with the 0560BW knife, I impulse bought one last Friday and took it camping with me.

You are right, they ARE nice! Easy opening, and I agree it is much easier to open than the 25 is. I can use either the flipper or the blade stop, both open it very easily.

I gently flick my 25s open, that is the only way I can do it that does not hurt my thumb a little bit every time. I do like the way it looks, but it could feel better in use for sure.

I'm not selling my 25s, but the 560BW will definitely be a USER for me, as I bought it for that reason just like you did.

Congratulations on your new addition to the family!

I didn't go to the extreme and sell my sebenza25, but the ZT0560BW has bumped the Sebbie from my pocket ever since I got it. Fit/finish and near fluid action goes to the Sebbie, hands down, but the 0560 with the flipper deploy is just too damned fun to flick open. Trying to find someone to make me a CF scale, and that knife would be near perfect, for me. Oh, and though the Sebbie has a beautiful blade finish, but the acid wash black blade is a thing of beauty.

Like you, can't wait for the 0562CF. Can you imagine that one in BW?

Please send or post pics if you get CF scales. Have people done this before with the 0560?

Yes can't wait for the 0562CF. That could be the one. Balancing every aspect necessary of an EDC almost perfectly. Still will always wear the 0562 when on the Harley or when shooting. The 0562 to me is just a hard use beast of a blade.

I've had a 25 for a while now and just picked up a 0560BW not that long ago. Neither of them get much pocket time. The 0560 is great but there are too many rough edges (jimping and g10 scale mainly) that make it uncomfortable at times. The 25 is awesome in nearly every way but the thumb stud like you have found out. What does get the most of my pocket time is a star-tac umnumzaan. The thumb stud is quite a bit larger and domed on top so it's easy on the thumb. Same ceramic ball and bronze washer smootheness as the 25 but much easier to open with the thumb stud. The lock bar is a little stiff but, I've gotten used to it and prefer it to the rough edges on the ZT.

Wow 2 differant animals there. lol. But I also carry my 0560 more than my 25 and 21. Love them but I too like the ZT a tad more.
