Decided to try another Case

After posting about sending my old Case mini trapper in for repairs and how much it cost I decided to get another one. I am close to my wifes uncle who lives across the street from us and he's always carrying around these rusty old pocket knives so I decided to get him a new one. I saw the Case mini trappers with the yellow synthetic sideplates on Amazon for $32 and some change to my door. It came in the mail today and I was so impressed I almost didn't give it to him lol. The fit and finish are great and the pull is nice and crisp with a solid half stop, perfect to me. To tell the truth this knife seems to be better made than half the ones I've paid almost double for.

Very Nice Gift for Your Wife's Uncle, It will be hard not to appreciate a Case.
I hope He enjoys it for many years.
 
That's truly is a great gift Robert and very nice of you. I'm a vintage CASE guy, 70's and earlier. Nice to hear that quality is still a priority for CASE.

Awesome gesture to get him a new Trapper. I just got a new yellow Peanut a few days ago and am very impressed with the fit, finish and quality. It's a quality knife in every regard.

Looking at your pics I'm liking that yellow Mini-Trapper!
