Decided To Try Out Some Stonewashing

I'm not sure being vigorously tossed around in a bunch of rocks helped it.

Definitely not. That's the problem with DIY stonewashing. :(

I tend to do my faux-stone wash chemically. Ferric Chloride followed by a Scotchbrite pad looks almost the same (and no tip damage):

Yea it looks pretty similar. If you hadn't have told me I wouldn't have known.

I’d like to see a before picture, it’s a dark color now? Is it blued? Just wondering. They sell stone washers at harbor freight, so I’m curious.

Yea it's blued, I haven't done one with ferric chloride yet, I've tried some other finishes with FC before and it just doesn't seem very tough. You don't have to buy a tumbler if you just wanna try it out, you can put it in pretty much any container and shake it around. You can even put it in a container, tape it up real tight, put it in a backpack or something and put it in the drier on no heat cycle. I've done both, pretty much anything to jostle it around will work.
