:) Does anybody else notice any differences between sterile and reg HH's besides logo? The finish on the regular model feels like very fine sandpaper and the finish on the sterile feels smooth and glossy and a bit thicker. Its kinda hard to tell with my crappy webcam pic but the spine on the "NASA" model seems narrower. Dont get me wrong fellas, not complainin one bit. I am going on vacation tommorow and I want to take the proper HH. Any info would be appreciated! By the way the

NASA model is on the right. :)

I'd take both'm, one for the left-hand and one for the right. Could you ever have too much Infi for any occasion?

For what it's worth. my .270" HH FSH mag weighs in at 25.5 oz as opposed to my .250" std FSH mag at 25.0 oz. No real significant difference with the .020" difference in width.

My sterile and regular HHs' look the same to me with only 0.5oz difference in weight which I attribute to std vs. mag handles.

I'd take the regular....
1) Slightly more chopping power
2) The fact that this is a NASA overrun might make it a collectable.

You may have to send them to me so that I can see the differences. I can't see that much from the pic's I will pm my address and I promise that I will get them back to you.............................................................................................................probably used :D

I don't have a sterile version but the mag grip that came yesterday has a flat finish with a larger logo compared to the slightly glossy finish of the reg handle I got the other week (different vendors doing the coating?) If I wipe it down with alcohol (isopropyl not scotch :D :D ) does that count as sterile???

I noticed the same differences Rory mentioned. My sterile HH is also much sharper, the sharpest Busse I own in fact.

I've already wiped down and wrapped the sterile version and parked it in the safe. I wrote "4/06 RARE MINT NASA HH 1 of 12" on the wrapping with a Sharpie. I learned from watching an old Jimmy Stewart western in the days of my youth:

"When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." :D

if you're going via rocket i would take the slicker NASA model. it's harder for dust mites to cling to, lint free. they are all the same thickness but the NASA model might have a thicker coating to withstand the g forces of lift off and general space travel.

the fertile HH is no slouch by any means, it's just you should be aware it's not sterile. do not put two fertile HH's together un chaperoned.
