Ok, I like both Benchmade and Spyderco knives. Looking to get a tactical folder to add to my collection.

I'm looking at the Benchmade 710 series and the Spyderco Military or Paramilitary.

I currently have a BM 550, Spydie Endura, Native and Delica.

Suggestions? If 710, which variant do you like best? I see that most appear to prefer the Paramilitary over the Military. True?

Thanks,
Scott

I would pick the 710, I prefer the satin finish in plain edge and 154cm to the 710HS in m2 mainly because I dont like black blades.

I vote Spyderco Military. The grippy scales and the flat ground ultra sharp S30V blade is hard to beat.

Another nod for the 710. In any flavour imho.

Been umpteen threads about it over last couple weeks, sales numbers are going to be up i think this xmas.

Hope it lends to a continued existance, Long life to a good friend.

Looks to me like you need another Benchmade to help even out the collection.

I've got 710's in both 154CM and M2, plain edge. A true classic design. So far, both have held up to all my normal cutting needs.

I am looking at the Military though, and its reputation is right there with the 710.

Isn't it illegal to carry auto knives in Texas unless you are military or LE? Axis lock is pretty quick without being illegal.

That is the way I think.

It may seem silly to some people to buy a BM just because you have fewer BMs than Spydies, but getting another BM would add more variety to your collection, and give you a wider range of choice each time you decide what knife to take with you today (versus buying another Spydie). You can always get the Military or Para later.
