I've been in the mood for a new Spyderco. I've been heavily looking at the Endura FFG and that CF Sage. I'd really like to get both, but I just bought a new gun (G19 RTF2) so both is out of the question...for now.

I can easily swing the $55ish for the Endura and the Sage is roughly double that. Is the Sage worth the extra $50 or so?

the sage's materials are more expensive than the endura. do you want carbon fiber or FRN? CPM S30V or VG-10? also the sage has a 3" blade as opposed to the enduras nearly 4" blade.

personally i would go with the sage, but that is just my opinion.

I haven't handled the Sage so I'm not sure about the CF. I do, however, like the FRN. It gives good traction and seems pretty durable. Is the CF textured or sort of slippery?

Ah, piss on it, I'm just gonna get the Sage now and the Endura later on.

I haven't looked in a while but you used to be able to get the Sage 1 for around $85 so you might want to look around a bit if the one you are looking at is over $100.

I was including shipping. YCS has the cheapest price I found at ~$93 + shipping.

I miss the end of year Sage deal from last year. I picked up 2 extras and ended up gifting one and selling the other to a buddy at cost. Should have picked up another one.

You're going to love the Sage. It's still my default EDC unless I'm trying something new. I always end up going back to the Sage.
