Hmmmm, flamed redwood or redwood Burl, what to do, what to do.....either way, the Ratweiler will look sexy.

What do you guys think?:D

Flamed
Can I do this one for you? :p

I like both, but the burl looks kind of like well-marbled kobe beef. I dunno, but it looks odd to touch. The pattern, visual depth, and effect are cool, so maybe it's just the colors :D

can u show a closeup of them?? im leaning toward flamed but the burl has some wild character :)

I'm leaning toward the burl myself. :)

But

I want to see more of that sheath! Looks interesting! More pics please.

The burl does have some amazing figure to it, this piece and the other I have remind me of the piece I used on my TTKZ
( this was after it was finished)

I freaking love redwood burl, but I've currently done 3 knives in it, and would kind of like some thing different, the flamed piece moves in the light when you turn it

Leatherman, the sheath is an early attempt at sheath making with an overlay of caiman by myself, didn't turn out great, but it's held together fairly well, I'll try to take a couple more pics later

Wow J, hell of a job man! I would go with the burl. Nothing more pretty than a good piece of burl...

Just let me come pick up the supplies and I'll decide for you.:) I'm leaning towards the redwood. Either one will be sweet though.

PM wants. Whichever you go with, that's going to look awesome.

I would go with the flamed redwood.

obviously both kinds of scales are gorgeous. I personally go with the flamed redwood, but it will look great with whichever you choose to go with. Can't wait to see the finished result.

Hard to tell color from a digital pic but seems to me the burl is a better color match to the sheath.
