Spec Bump, G10 Offset, Grey Spatter Offset, or something else I've been eyeballing?
Or all of them? I'm trying to stop buying in hoards. :o
I dunno.
There are so many good points to each one.

yeah, I get a bonus tomorrow. I've been good. :)

If I get just one, which one?
What is THE one to have?
Keep in mind I don't have any of them.

spatter offset.

I was supposed to get one, but my money never made it to the seller. oh well, live and learn. beautiful knife though!

Buying in bunches is the best part! You can keep yourself amazed for days! What else ya been eyeballing?

I'd say either one of the Offsets first, Mike. If the Gray Spatter one is a ltd. edition (?), that one first, if not, close your eyes and point. It's a fun knife to handle and use.
The Bump is a good knife too (got the regular not the Spec), but they're plentiful.
What else did you say you were looking at? I missed your answer. :)

Since you didn't mention a ZT 0200, go ahead and get a G-10 Offset...Maybe one of these days, if you buy one, you'll have a contest here, and I can win it from you.:D.:D.

I'd say go for the aluminum handle speed bump. I think i'll end up finding me one of next month.

If you don't already have a bump of any sort, go for the Spec Bump. Especially if you intend to carry it. Just feels great in the hand and has a smaller profile in the pocket than the Offset.

Then get a first run black bladed Offset and a G10 Offset and switch blades. Then you'll have a G10 Offset that matches the Spec Bump perfectly. :D

SPX, you been in the preserves again?!?! That is the absolute silliest thing I've read all day long! You know damn well, whether you buy ONE new Kershaw at a time or ONE HUNDRED new Kershaws at a time, the very NEXT day, you're aching for another one just as bad as you were the day before you got the new one/ones!!!!:D

Don't even try and lie and say it's not true!!

Cheers,
Jon

Hey Mike,

I'd say go with the Offset, either one will be fine. I have an older buddy who's pushin' 70. He's a knife collector friend who I BS with about this new model and that type of sharpening. He hangs out in my bar(the one I manage that is:D) in the morning and drinks coffee and we shoot the breeze, usually about knives. My bar is a small town, blue collar, beer and whiskey type bar where I know 95% of the people that walk through the door.

Just the other morning, one of my other regulars was razzin' my old buddy about something and my friend jokes to him, "you keep that up and I'll cut ya before the day is through!!" Then he whips out his Offset and flicks the blade open:eek: The other customers says, "Jeezus Nick!!!, no wonder you have to wear suspenders!! Look at the size of that thing!!"

Mike, that story, in and of itself, is enough justification for any man to purchase the Offset!!!;)

Cheers,
Jon

Well, I really like the Bumps...I just snagged an earlier Spec Bump in CPM 154 with the diagonally-textured G10 handle...can't wait for it to arrive to compare it to the newer S30V version with the web-patterned G10! :D

There were actually only a few hundred of the gray spatter-paint Offsets produced according to a comment by Thomas in a thread awhile back, so from a collectors point of view that would seem to add to its desirability, not to mention it's just plain cool.

The G10 Offset, also very cool, is a regular production model like the S30V Spec Bump...more time to acquire those guys at your leisure...

If it was me, I'd probably go for the gray spatter-paint Offset, but an ongoing problem for me is that there is never just THE one to have...;)

Ray :)

Realistically, there are only three different Kershaw versions of the Offset.

If you get one, you really need to get all three. Much easier than collecting Bumps or Leeks. And if you want to make it more challenging after you get the three, you can always start trying to get Ken's Offsets.

Very easy decision actually !!!

I like the Spec Bump a lot. Great steel, great lock, great ergonomics for medium-to-larger than average hands. Usually around $100 street price. Can't lose!

I wish there was a Composite bladed Spec Bump. That would be cool!

+1 on that :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Some new colors in the grooved G10 pattern handles would be great too.
Or even better, grooved handles with the carbon fiber from that ZT300!

kneedeep, you're not making this any easier.

If I get all of them I will be disgusted with myself for not
showing any kind of restraint. Disgusted........for a little while anyway. :D
