I just received my first Sebenza (large plain.) I am so impressed right now that I have dreams of someday owning a large decorated. My question is how well do the decorated Sebenzas hold up as a daily user? Also, does anyone actually own one w/ the Solar Wind design? Please post pictures! The earlier post by bk40 has been my inspiration for the Solar Wind design.
Thanks,

I have a small trailing moon Sebenza. Mechanically the knife is as rugged as any Sebenza. The shiny side scratches rather easily. Leaving very light scratches that can only be seen upon close observation. Fritz and some elbow grease will get these scratches out. Also, every time you handle the knife you will leave fingerprints. As a daily user you will have to accept the fact that it will get scratched (and believe me, I kept the knife in a pocket that held nothing else) and you will be wiping fingerprints off constantly. Maybe with enough scratches it will develope a patina. The small plain is such a nice knife. I have a small woody, the trailing moon and a small tanto. All very nice. But for daily use, the small plain calls my name and for some reason I am drawn to it. It was my first Sebenza and has become a true companion. Welcome to the club!

My next Small Left Handed Sebenza will be the Solar Wind.
