Has anyone ever decorated their sheath in any way? I was thinking of making a couple of 8-inch snake knots out of parachord and using large decorative wood beads. Perhaps add a sash to hang in the middle of the sheath. This would be for the large M43 which will be for display only.

Never heard it mentioned before but nothing wrong with being the first.

We enjoy small words and lots of pictures (least ways I do) especially in progress and how to stuff.

I say go for it, fine idea.

I second that! I think some snake skin would look cool. I need a bigger snake tho. Uh....i didnt just say that did I:rolleyes:

I piggyback multi tools and/or smaller knives on the front of a few of my HI sheaths ( by untying the frog then re-tying thru item ). I always carried baldric style. Also another knife on baldric strap. Have also made slip on cover to go over an HI sheath that I wanted to protect. Also epoxied small bells and other small knobs on some chapes of sheaths so the points wouldn't jab me or equipment. Or removed chapes also. Have painted a sheath also.

Aww, I remember you little bells and knobs on the chape, that was a great idea. I think just about as many people been stabbed by them chapes as they have the knives although I have no statistics to back that statement up.
