Decorating the One Piece Knife

My one piece Aviator looks lonesome. Anybody tried to personalize or decorate their one piece, by engraving initials on the butt cap, engraving a simple design behind the tang, etc? It also needs some color, like a blue lanyard (there I go again, about a blue lanyard.)

I like to personalize almost all my stuff and was going to put my family's insignia on the butt cap of my Project II, but I'm glad I didn't because I have since traded it for a small plain Sebenza. As for the "blue" lanyard, I think that would be a mistake (maybe olive drab, but not blue). After all, it is intended to be a military knife.
