Forged and filed these up from some 1/2" 1045 I got from Aldo, it's pretty good stuff and he's got lots of it, it's like 1045 on steroids!! Great for small tools for different things, great for a touchmark. I like 1045, water quench and temper-color temper and it's great. They work cold or hot.

That's pretty awesome Sam, had thought about doing this with stamps for leather but now i see that i can make a tang stamp maybe? Until i actually get something finished to sell, i might have to do that lol. Thanks for sharing....oh and by the way...when do we get the limited edition "Sam the Blacksmith" calenders?

Awesome Sam! I now challenge you to make a set of punches for hot punching Celtic Knotwork! :D

Sam, thank you for idea, The punches are what a great way to embellish work, I need to get to work making some.

Rick, the pattern with the jimping is awesome. I am trying to figure out how to add some patterns to my work.
