Deep Canyon jigged bone from Case

I noticed some new CV knives from Case as well, including a Sowbelly model! Do a Google search for "Sambar Stag CV Embellished."

Those look great. The congress and mini-copperhead look good too. Case is coming out with a bunch of really cool stuff lately. The recent catalog from a notable vendor had a lot of exciting things in it, more new and interesting knives than I can remember seeing from Case all at once.

I want one of the melon whittlers badly. Case hasn't made those in a long time. They're pattern #00. For a guy who collects Case patterns, that's reason enough to want one. The fact that they look really cool is just icing on the cake.

I haven't seen those. It looks more like stag than there 6.5 bone stag IMO.

Are those CV or SS ?

edit- well I guess I can go look that one up right quick.

I think it looks great but I'll be hesitant to buy online until I've seen a few examples, or have someone that could look at a few and pick me out a nice one.

That was my thought as well. Has the 6.5 bone stag ever fooled anyone? You don't see a lot of stag with sharp lines running across it. This stuff looks much better.

Basically straight line wormgrooved jigging, interesting. Looks pretty good, but I'd like to see a few more samples on various sized knives -- it does look really good on that swayback.

Hi Jake -

I held off as long as I could - but I had to order one of the Swayback Jacks - just need to see one in person. It will make a nice companion for the BF 2011 Traditional EO Jack.

Unfortunately, the place I ordered from showed me that the item is on backorder........

best regards -

Andy, The swayback jack is a great pattern. I haven't seen the deep canyon in person so I hope you post some photos when yours arrives.

Yes, some actual photos would be nice as those line drawings tell little.

Looks decent and promising though, a Slimline Trapper in that would be good!

I must leap to the defence of the late Bonestag 6.5 though, no it doesn't look like stag (but it's a lot BETTER than much of the so-so stage CASE uses) but it offers good grip, nice variation and ages well. I wish they'd bring it back:D
