Hello folks,

I have been researching Sebenza for quite some time and noticed very few have deep carry pocket clips. I am in the process of purchasing a Large Sebenza and am interested in a deep carry clip.

Any recommendations? Also, why do so few Sebenza's have deep carry clips?

Enjoy your Friday night :)

Any deep carry clip you see is going to be aftermarket and most people like the stock clip so that's why you would only see a few.

I dont think to my knowledge that a clip exists that is better than stock version in terms of function, looks maybe but not function. Besides u need a bit sticking out in order to grip it unless ur putting a deep carry pocket clip with the use of lanyard for extraction.

I prefer deep carry pocket clips on my knifes. I find it to be more comfortable having the knife ride lower. It tends to "jab" into my leg when I sit or bend my leg.

I found a site where I can buy a custom deep carry clip that matches the finish of the knife. I think I'll buy one and try it. I do not like lanyards on my knife so I will probably remove the lanyard.

Im sure there are some that sell them here or like ebay and such

What site?

It think you have combined two sites into one. Millit makes clips that match the finish or inlays of the knife but they are not deep-carry. MXG, likely among others, has deep-carry pocket clips for the Sebenza but they don't match the finish of the handle.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, I tried putting a Spyderco deep carry wire "paper clip" pocket clip (off a Sage 1 if I recall correctly) on a Sebbie using the stock CRK clip screw - it almost worked. Just didn't feel secure enough to satisfy me.

The "sponsors" should interject with some of the products. If business is right under their nose and they fail to capture it that is their fault. However, if I come across something I like and would like to share it as a paid member I think that is only fair. After all isn't that why we are all on here?

I wholeheartedly agree that the rule is silly, but rules are rules. Best to just go with the flow.

With that said, if you could PM me the link to the deep-carry clip with matching finish, I'd appreciate it. 👍🏻

The problem is, we have supporting dealers who have a variety of products. Dropping links to sites that do not support Bladeforums is unfair to those dealers as they are paying to advertise here..Working off the backs of paid dealers as it has been mentioned ad nauseum in countless threads.

My membership status since I joined has been of a supporting member in one way or another. As I see it, I have the wisdom of those before me to learn from, those that are bringing a different perspective than I have and lastly, the right as described in the rules to sell here. Well worth it to me.

This is an informative post in nature; It's definitely not meant to be negative at all. Hope we understand a little better.

My apologies. I stand corrected. The deep-carry clip I was referring to does not match the finish. The clip is "plain" titanium so I figured it would be similar. Upon further inspection the finish on the Sebenza is a bit darker. I will gladly trade functionality of deep-carry clips over the fashionable color differentiation.

The deep-carry clip I am referring to is probably the same one most of you have looked at.

Absolutely, I understand your point. However, I didn't violate any of the rules. I was simply expressing my opinion. All is well.
