Deep carry clip suggestions

hi folks.
I’m looking for help deciding on two deep carry clips.
I need one for the military and one for the GB2.
I know lynch and mxg are both good choices.
Any other makers I should check out?
Pretty is ok, but practical first.

Thanks.

Rusty

I personally like the, not so deep, deep carry clips from MXG..
Like a wire clip, type of deep..

With that said.. I like to modify, with wire clips.. lol..

Which I just got a barrel/screw setup, today. To do a wire clip, tip up carry, on the Military..

Question.. is your Military, tip down?
So maybe a LW Native, deep carry clip would work? (I'll have to check this when I get home. Make sure they are both the same pattern?)

MXG makes two for the Military, a short and a long one, so you get to pick. They are very well done. Also come with great screws, better than the Colorado originals. That being said, on the fluted Military you'll need your own screws. But the MXG screws work on all other Militaries (and you'll need them as the Ti clip is thicker than the Spyderco original clip).

Don't know about GB2, carry mine clip-less.

Yes it’s tip down.
As it came from the factory.

I haven’t seen the wire clip mod.

I’ll look it up.

Thanks

Mines just a g10 model, so I should be ok.

I haven't done it in the Military, Yet.. Just a Delica, LW Native, and custom Native Boomer52 scales(hat Steve did the wire clip mod on, for me)..

The Military is my next project. Loads of room towards the butt of the handle, that won't interfere with the blade, to use a barrel/ screw setup(From a LW Manix). It will be tip up.

I’d like to see the finished product. Sounds cool.

I tried a deep ride clip with the Millie and didn’t like it. It got in the way of my pinch grip on the knife. It’s still new in the bag if you’re interested in it.

Thanks man.
Appreciate it.

Who made it?

It's a MXG.

Ok.. excuse the crude, unfinishedness... Lol..
It's been a long time thought, just got the Boomer52 scales, before I found a set of Foliage Green, D2 Military scales.(but still looking!)

As you can see.. Plenty of room for the hardware, deeper then the tip up mod, and can be moved for deeper or less deep..

With a knife the size of the Military, I think the "gentleman" clip, hides it well.. Yet, I don't want it so deep, sitting down pushes it out of the pocket. (Also why I like the, not so deep, MXG deep clip..

The black wire clip in the pic, is from a Milwaukee utility knife.. (it's not staying, but it was in front of me) lol

I know those wireclips is not an easy install. Can mess one of those up easy and it won't be secure when you pull on the clip. So good job on that mod. I still think a better option is to use a CRK clip. Either in the lanyard hole or elsewhere. Better ergonomics and it would be more solid. If you use the lanyard hole it will probably sit just where you would like it.

A 15$ CRK clip could work. But how do you mind it in the lanyard tube?
I don't like the Double clip thingy (50$).. But I do Really like the 78$ deep carry machined ti clip!!! Really liked it!!!
But I can buy a spyderco, that comes with a wire clip, for that money. Then I get a knife and a clip. (I actually had a kydex sheath designed, so I could carry a Dragonfly as a neck knife/fixed blade, on the belt. Just so I could take the wire clip for one of my Delica's or Native). Lol..
I'm a heavy equipment operator, for a career and I work on car's, as a hobby. Nothing is better then the wire clip. (For me)
I've bent, snagged, hooked clips on things or scratched steering wheels and paint, with all clips, but the wire clip.

So for me, my Instant thought, is wire clip mod or just carry a wire clip model.

I just like building/modifying stuff.. RC rock crawler's (youtube my screen name for explaining), Knife's, and turbo Subaru's..
