Hey all,

I want a Para 3, and If I get one I am for sure getting some Allen Putman Anso Scales for it. I've held a Para 3 before and like many, I find the clip placement to be atrocious. Who knows of good deep carry clips that will fit these scales? I've read online that Lynch clips won't fit them, MXG Gear clips don't really look like they would fit either.

Any input is appreciated!

Plenty of MXG and Lynch clips fit the Para 3. If you'll look on both of their websites, you'll see many clips to choose from.

I know they’ll fit the stock Para 3, I’m interested in clips that fit Allen Putman scales. Putman mills a recess to fit the standard spoon clip that isn’t present on stock scales.

Some of the clips will work in that recessed area. You may need to "widen" the gap of the clip, so it's not so tight after you install it.

Ive had allen putman scales on a Delica and youre right, aftermarket clips wont fit. I think MXG might have a couple clips that are the shape of the standard clip but they have the skull or shjeld on them which don't interest me at all.
I found even with the stock clip it was harder to remove from the pocket. I'm not sure if its because of the clip being tight or the wave texture catching on the pocket, maybe both. I'm not talking ridiculously difficult, but more for sure.

Cut off the section of the stock clip that fits into the recess and use it as a spacer along with some slightly longer screws.

Hello from Leander, btw!

It most certainly can be done. This is a MXG Gear clip

Slight modification of the Anso scales and longer screws.
